Description
The 'Happy Corner Covered Bridge' is one of the oldest in the state of New Hampshire. At one time, New Hampshire had roughly 400 covered bridges, now it has 45. Happy Corner Bridge is number 35 per the state's numbering system, crossing the Perry Stream up in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, near the Canadian border. The story goes that prior to the construction of the bridge in the mid 1800s there lived an elderly gentleman who always walked around happy, and singing, hence the name 'Happy'.
