Description
This particular 1907 Fiat Tipo 50/60 is believed to be the only model left in existence! Fiat, or Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, only produced 116 Tipos, and it was their first ever 6 cylinder engine. This 11 liter 6 cylinder was rated at 65 horse power, and was powerful enough to climb hills, something most cars in that day had difficulty doing. Because of its exceptional power, it was nicknamed 'The Conqueror', whose motto was 'No hill can stop me'. This Fiat was purchased in Europe by Larz Anderson, and shipped back to the United States. Today it can be viewed at the Larz Anderson Transportation Musuem located in Brookline, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston.
